5 Hidden Wix Studio Features You Should Start Using Now

Updated: Oct 18

If you’re building with Wix Studio (or considering it), you might assume you already know its “big” tools: drag-and-drop editing, CMS, reusable assets, etc. But there are under-the-radar features that can really level up your site — and many DIY users don’t realize they exist.

In this post, I’ll walk you through 5 hidden or underused Wix Studio features that we use internally to save time, polish sites, and avoid future headaches.

Feature #1: Responsive AI (Section-by-Section)

  • Wix Studio has a feature called Responsive AI — it lets you select a section and automatically apply responsive behavior or layout adjustments across device widths. wix.com

  • Instead of manually adjusting for tablet/mobile, you can lean on this tool to translate your desktop layout intelligently.

  • Pro tip: after Responsive AI runs, go in and tweak margins or stacking order as needed — don’t let it “autoset” everything blindly.

Feature #2: Design Libraries & Reusable Assets

  • Instead of rebuilding similar sections on multiple pages, create design libraries in Studio. These can include components, typography themes, color palettes, and section templates. Wix Help Center

  • You can reuse these across pages or even across sites in your Workspace, keeping your design consistent and efficient.

  • Use case: your “services card” section can live in the library; if you update it, you can push that change everywhere.

Feature #3: Custom Breakpoints & Pixel Editing

  • Studio gives you the ability to design with custom breakpoints (beyond just “tablet / mobile”) so you can fine-tune how layout shifts. wix.com+1

  • What looks “okay” at the default mobile width might need a mid-size tweak (say 700px width).

  • Pixel editing: you can position elements with pixel-perfect precision (margins, docking) and still have Studio convert them to responsive units behind the scenes.

Feature #4: Unified / Improved Menu & Positioning Controls

  • Wix has rolled out updates to Studio around improved positioning, including better control over overlapping elements, z-index, and relative layout. Community Support Forum | Wix Studio

  • There's also a unified menu control update: one menu element can now be set to adapt (or switch) contextually across pages or breakpoints, reducing the struggle of managing multiple header menus.

Feature #5: Seamless Figma → Studio Integration

  • If you or a designer uses Figma, Wix offers a Figma to Studio plugin/export. You can bring your design directly into Studio and use that as your base. wix.com+1

  • When you import, things like layout, spacing, and component associations can carry over — saving manual rebuild time.

  • Tip: treat the import as a starting point — always review how each imported element behaves responsively afterward.

These 5 “hidden” features are ones we lean on in most of our client builds — they help us move faster, maintain consistency, and avoid the “ugly mobile fix” headaches. If you want help putting any of them into your own site, I’d love to walk you through in a Fix My Wix session (live, screen-share) in a Fix My Wix session.
